Is Khums Taken from Food as Well?

٣٥٥٧٨ - حدثنا ابو اسامة عن مجالد عن عامر قال: ليس في الطعام خمس، إنما الخمس في الذهب والفضة.
Hazrat Aamir (may Allah have mercy on him) says that there is no khums on food; khums is only on gold and silver.

٣٥٥٧٩ - حدثنا معاذ بن معاذ عن ابن عون قال: قلت للحسن: إنا نصيب في بلاد العدو العسل والسمن والجبن (افنخمس) (١)؟ قال: قد كنا (نصيبه) (٢) فناكله.
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [ب]: (أفيخمس).
(٢) في [أ، ب]: (نصيب).
Hazrat Ibn Aun (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him), "We find honey, ghee, and cheese, etc. in the enemy's land, so should we also pay khums on these?" Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) replied, "We also used to find all this, and we would just eat it."
