Selling Anything to Enemy Territory That Strengthens Them Against Muslims

٣٥٥٩٩ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن اشعث عن الحسن قال: لا يحل لمسلم ان يحمل إلى عدو المسلمين طعاما ولا سلاحا يقويهم به على المسلمين فمن فعل ذلك فهو فاسق.
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to send (sell) food or weapons to the enemies, by which they gain strength against the Muslims; whoever does so is a transgressor (fasiq).

٣٥٦٠٠ - حدثنا محمد بن بكر (عن) (١) (ابن) (٢) جريج عن عطاء انه كره حمل السلاح إلى العدو، قال: قلت له: تحمل الخيل إليهم؟ قال: فابى ذلك وقال: اما ما يقويهم للقتال فلا، واما غيره فلا باس.

Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked selling weapons to the enemy. The narrator says: I asked, "How about selling horses?" He also forbade that, and said: Do not sell anything by which they gain strength in war; there is no harm in selling other things.

٣٥٦٠٢ - حدثنا محمد بن بكر عن ابن جريج قال: نهى عمر بن عبد العزيز ان (تحمل) (١) (الخيل) (٢) إلى ارض الهند.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) forbade the sale of horses towards the land of Hind.

٣٥٦٠٣ - حدثنا ابو اسامة عن هشام عن الحسن انه كره ان يحمل السلاح والكراع إلى ارض العدو للتجارة.
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked taking weapons or horses to the enemy's land for trade.

٣٥٦٠٤ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن عبيدة عن إبراهيم انه كان يكره ان يحمل إلى عدو المسلمين سلاح او منفعة.
Ibrahim also disliked carrying weapons and any profitable items.

٣٥٦٠٥ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن يونس عن (الحسن) (١) وابن سيرين انهما كرها بيع السلاح في الفتنة.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) and Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked the sale of weapons during days of war.

٣٥٦٠٦ - حدثنا يعلى بن (عبيد) (١) قال: ثنا ابو حيان عن يونس عن الحسن وابن سيرين انهما كرها بيع السلاح في الفتنة.

It is narrated in the same way from Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him).

٣٥٦٠٧ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: اخبرنا هشام عن (الحسن) (١) قال: لا يبعث إلى اهل الحرب (شيء) (٢) من السلاح والكراع، ولا ما (يستعان به) (٣) على السلاح والكراع.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Weapons or horses will not be sent to the people at war, nor will help be sought with weapons and horses.

٣٥٦٠٨ - حدثنا شاذان قال: ثنا ابان العطار عن قتادة قال: كان يكره بيع السلاح في القتال.
35608 - Shadhan narrated to us, he said: Aban al-Attar narrated to us from Qatadah, he said: He used to dislike selling weapons during fighting.
