35922 - Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us from Zaidah from Abd al-Malik ibn Abjar who said: A man called Subayh said: We, the group of the Fatah, were with Ali, and he said: Ali was a man ⦗530⦘ (experienced) (1), and he used to say: War is deception. He would come to a rock and say: Allahu Akbar, Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth, a rock. We thought it was something that had been said to him. Then he would come to the Tigris and say: The Tigris (2) Allah is the greatest, Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. We thought it was something that had been said to him (3).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdul Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person named Sabeeh said: Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was an experienced man, he used to say that war is the name of secret strategy. He used to say that he reached the rock and said, "Allahu Akbar, Allah and His Messenger صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم have spoken the truth, it is a rock." The narrator says that we saw that there was what was said to be like me. Then he reached the Tigris and said, "Tigris, Allahu Akbar, Allah and His Messenger صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم have spoken the truth." We saw that there was a thing as it was said to be.
