٣٥٩١٠ - حدثنا زيد بن حباب قال: حدثني رجاء بن ابي سلمة قال: حدثني مغيرة بن حبيب ختن مالك بن دينار قال: (سالت) (١) ابن عبد الله، قلت: ندخل ارض الشرك فنحاصر الحصن فيقاتلوننا قتالا شديدا فيسالوننا الامان ويابى ذلك الامير فما (ترى) (٢) في قتالهم؟ فقال: ليس إليكم ذاك إلى (الامير) (٣).

Hazrat Ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked that we go to the land of the disbelievers and lay siege to their fort, then they resist us fiercely and later seek peace from us, but their leader refuses. What is your opinion regarding fighting them in this situation? He replied: This is not upon you; this is the matter of their leader.

٣٥٩١١ - حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور قال: سمعت عمرو بن ابي قيس يذكر عن ⦗٥٢٧⦘ مطرف قال: (سالنا) (١) الحكم، قلت: الملك من ملوك خراسان يصالح من السبي على رؤوس معلومة؟ قال: ما كان من صلح فلا باس.

Hazrat Mutarrif (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I asked Hazrat Hakam whether among the kings of Khurasan, a king makes peace based on the information from a prisoner? He replied: There is no harm in making peace.
