Chapter on what is narrated about touching the armpit

حدثنا حدثنا ابو روق احمد بن محمد بن بكر ، نا احمد بن روح، نا سفيان، قال: سمعناه من عمرو يحدثه، عن الزهري، عن عبيد الله، قال: سئل عمر عن مس الإبط، فقال:" يتوضا منه" .
Ubaidullah narrates: It was asked from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about touching the armpit, so he said: "After that, ablution will be performed."

حدثنا حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم، نا الحسن بن عرفة ، نا خلف بن خليفة ، عن ليث بن ابي سليم ، عن مجاهد، عن ابن عمر ، قال:" إذا توضا الرجل ومس إبطه اعاد الوضوء" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "It will not be obligatory for such a person to perform ablution again."

قال: ونا قال: ونا خلف بن خليفة ، عن ابي سنان، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، قال:" ليس عليه إعادة" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "It will not be obligatory for such a person to perform ablution again."

حدثنا حدثنا الحسين بن إسماعيل، نا الحسن بن يحيى، نا عبد الرزاق، انا ابن جريج، اخبرني عمرو بن دينار ، عن ابن شهاب، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة ، عن عمر بن الخطاب ، قال:" إذا مس الرجل إبطه فليتوضا" .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When a person touches his armpit, he should perform ablution (wudu)."

وحدثنا ابو سعيد الإصطخري، حدثنا حمدان بن علي، نا مسلم، نا حماد بن زيد، قال: وذكر مس الإبط عند ايوب، فقال:" رب إبط ينبغي ان يغتسل منه" .
Hammad bin Zaid narrated this: The mention of touching the armpit was made before Ayyub, so he said: "Some armpits are such that after touching them, one should perform ghusl (ritual bath)."
