نا محمد بن مخلد ، نا حمدون بن عباد الفرغاني ابو جعفر ، حدثنا علي بن عاصم ، عن المثنى ، عن عمرو بن شعيب ، عن ابيه ، عن جده ، قال: جاءت امراة إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالت: " إن ابني هذا كان بطني له وعاء، وحجري له حواء، وثديي له سقاء، وإن اباه يريد ان ينتزعه مني، قال: لا، انت احق به ما لم تزوجي" .
Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrates from his father, from his grandfather: A woman came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "This is my son; my womb was a vessel for him, my lap was a refuge for him, my breast was a source of nourishment for him, and now his father wants to separate him from me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "That cannot be; you have more right to (raise) him as long as you do not remarry."

نا الحسين بن إسماعيل ، نا يوسف بن موسى ، حدثني ابو عاصم ، عن ابي العوام ، عن المثنى ، عن عمرو بن شعيب ، عن ابيه ، عن جده ان امراة خاصمت زوجها في ولدها، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" المراة احق بولدها، ما لم تزوج" .
Amr ibn Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: A woman had a dispute with her (former) husband regarding her child, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "A woman has more right to (raise) her child, as long as she does not marry (another man)."

نا ابو بكر النيسابوري ، حدثني يوسف بن سعيد ، حدثنا حجاج بن محمد ، عن ابن جريج ، عن عمرو بن شعيب ، عن ابيه ، عن عبد الله بن عمرو ، ان امراة جاءت إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بابن لها، قالت: يا رسول الله،" بطني كان له وعاء، وثديي كان له سقاء، وحجري كان له حواء، وإن اباه يريد ان ينتزعه مني، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: انت احق به، ما لم تتزوجي" .
Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrates from his father, from his grandfather: A woman came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My womb was a vessel for him, my breast was a source of nourishment for him, and my lap was a shelter for him. Now his father wants to take him away from me." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "You have more right to him as long as you do not remarry."
