Issues of Righteousness and Maintaining Family Ties
بَابُ التَّرْغِيبِ فِي اكْرَامِ الأَنَاتِ مِنَ الأَولادِ فَضْلِ تَرْبِيَتِهِنَّ وَالْعَطْفِ عَلَيْهِنَّ
Chapter on encouragement to honor daughters, the virtue of raising them, and compassion for them
Hadith Number: 9046
۔ عن ابی ھریرۃ رضی اللہ عنہ، عن النبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم انہ قال: ((من کان لہ ثـلاث بنات، فصبر علٰی لاوائھن وضرائھن، وسرائھن، ادخلہ اللٰہ الجنۃ بفضل رحمتہ ایاھن۔)) فقال رجل: او ثنتانیا رسول اللٰہ! قال: ((او ثنتان۔)) فقال رجل: او واحدۃ؟ یا رسول اللٰہ! قال: ((او واحدۃ۔))
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has three daughters and endures their poverty and prosperity with patience, Allah Almighty will admit that person into Paradise because of showing mercy to those daughters. A man asked: O Messenger of Allah! What if there are two daughters? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if there are two. He asked again: And if there is only one, O Messenger of Allah!? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if there is only one.

Hadith Number: 9047
۔ عن عائشۃ رضی اللہ عنہا، ان امراۃ دخلت علیھا، ومعھا ابنتان لہا، قالت: فاعطیتھا تمرۃ فشقتھا بینھما، فذکرت ذٰلک لرسول اللٰہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فقال: ((من ابتلی بشیئ من ھٰذہ البنات فاحسن الیھن کن لہ سترا من النار۔))
Narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: A woman came to me and with her were her two daughters. I gave her a date, and she divided that date between her two daughters. Then when I informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) of this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is tested by these daughters and does good to them, they will be a shield for him from the Fire.

Hadith Number: 9048
۔ وعنھا ایضا، انھا قالت: جائ تنی مسکینۃ تحمل ابنتین لھا، فاطعمتھا ثـلاث تمرات، فاعطت کل واحدۃ منھما تمرۃ، ورفعت الٰی فیھا تمرۃ لتاکلھا، فاستطعمتھا ابنتاھا فشقت التمرۃ التی کانت ترید ان تاکلھا بینہما، قالت: فاعجبنی شانھا، فذکرت ذٰلک الذی صنعت لرسول اللٰہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فقال: ((ان اللٰہ عزوجل قد اوجب لھا بھا الجنۃ واعتقھا بھا من النار۔))
Narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: A poor woman came to me, carrying two daughters. I gave her three dates. She gave each daughter one date and raised one to her mouth to eat, but both her daughters wanted that date from her as well. So she broke that date into pieces and gave them to both of them. This action of hers amazed me, and when I mentioned her deed to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: Surely, because of this, Allah Almighty has admitted her into Paradise and freed her from Hell.
