Chapter on those who drown or are burned
Hadith Number: 229
نا نا هشيم، انا سليمان الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، عن عمر , انه قال في اناس ماتوا في بيت جميعا لا يدرى ايهم مات قبل صاحبه , قال:" يورث بعضهم من بعض" .
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding those people who died in the same house and it could not be known who died first: "Inheritance will be given from each to the other."

Hadith Number: 230
نا نا ابو معاوية الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، قال:" سقط بيت بالشام على قوم فقتلهم، فورث عمر بعضهم من بعض" .
It is narrated from Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that in Syria, a house collapsed on some people and they all died, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) made some of them heirs of others.

Hadith Number: 231
نا نا ابو معاوية، قال: ابن ابي ليلى، عن الشعبي، عن الحارث، عن علي " ان قوما غرقوا في سفينة فورث علي بعضهم من بعض" .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a group of people drowned in a boat, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) made some of them heirs to others.

Hadith Number: 232
نا نا هشيم، قال: انا ابن ابي ليلى، عن الشعبي، قال: وقع الطاعون بالشام عام عمواس , فجعل اهل البيت يموتون من آخرهم، فكتب في ذلك إلى عمر، فكتب عمر ان ورثوا بعضهم من بعض" .
Ash-Sha'bi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The plague spread in Syria in the year of Amwas, so the people of entire households began to die one after another. Regarding this, it was written to Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, so he wrote: "Make some the heirs of others."

Hadith Number: 233
نا نا هشيم، قال: انا اشعث بن سوار، قال: نا الشعبي، ان سفينة غرقت باهلها فلم يدر ايهم مات قبل صاحبه فاتوا عليا , فقال:" ورثوا كل واحد منهم من صاحبه" .
It is narrated from Ash-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that a boat sank along with its passengers and it could not be determined who died first, so people came to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: "Make each one the heir of the other."

نا سفيان، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن ابي المنهال، قال: سمعت إياس بن عبد المزني، يسئل عن قوم سقط عليهم بيت فماتوا , قال:" يورث بعضهم من بعض" .
Abu Al-Minhāl (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Iyās bin Abd Al-Muzanī (may Allah have mercy on him), he was asked about those people upon whom a house collapsed and they died, so he said: "Some of them should be made heirs of others."

نا هشيم، عن مغيرة، قال: اخبرني قطن بن عبد الله الضبي، ان غلاما ركب مع امه في الفرات فغرقا فلم يدر ايهما مات قبل صاحبه، فاتينا شريحا , فقال:" ورثوا كل واحد منهما من صاحبه" .
Qatan bin Abdullah Al-Dhabi (may Allah have mercy on him) reported that a boy rode with his mother on the Euphrates, both drowned, and it was not known who died first. We came to Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him), and he said: "Make each of them the heir of the other."

Hadith Number: 236
نا هشيم، عن مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، قال: " يورث كل واحد منهما من صاحبه ولا يورث واحد منهما مما ورث من صاحبه شيئا" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Each one should be made the heir of the other, but no one should inherit from the wealth which he himself inherited from someone else."

نا هشيم، قال: انا يونس، عن الحسن، انه كان يقول: " يورث بعضهم من بعض" .
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Some should be made heirs of others."

Hadith Number: 238
نا إسماعيل بن عياش، عن يحيى بن سعيد " ان قتلى اليمامة، وقتلى صفين والحرة , لم يورث بعضهم من بعض، ورثوا عصبتهم من الاحياء" .
It is narrated from Yahya bin Sa'id (may Allah have mercy on him) that among those killed in Yamama, Siffin, and Harrah, some were not made heirs of others; rather, their living agnates were made their heirs.
