Book of Marriage
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي ابْنَتَيِ الْعَمِّ، وَالْجَمْعِ بَيْنَهُمَا
Chapter: What is reported regarding marrying two daughters of a paternal uncle and combining them
Hadith Number: 655
نا سفيان، عن ابن ابي نجيح، عن عطاء، قال: " كره نكاح بنتي العم لفساد بينهما" .
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The marriage of paternal cousins was considered disliked so that discord would not arise between them."

Hadith Number: 656
نا إسماعيل بن عياش، عن هشام بن حسان، عن الحسن , " انه كان لا يرى باسا ان يجمع بين بنتي العم , وبين بنتي الخال".
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "There is no harm in marrying paternal and maternal cousins (female) at the same time."

Hadith Number: 657
نا سفيان، عن عمرو بن دينار، ان ابنا لعلي جمع بين ابنتي العم لم يكن اعلم بذلك العمين، فاصبحت نساء لا يدرين إلى من يذهبن إلى هذه، او إلى هذه، فقال عمرو: فقلت للحسن بن محمد: ما هذا الذي صنعتم؟ قال:" هو احب إلينا منهما" .
It is narrated from Hasan bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) that the son of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) married two paternal cousins, and neither party was aware of this marriage. The women were confused about whom to stay with. Hasan bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "We preferred this marriage out of the two."
