كِتَابُ النِّكَاحِ
Book of Marriage
بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُزَوِّجُ ابْنَهُ وَهُوَ صَغِيرٌ
Chapter: A man marries off his son while he is still a child
Hadith Number: 773
نا هشيم، قال: انا يونس، عن الحسن، قال: " إذا زوج الرجل ابنه وهو صغير فالصداق على الابن إلا ان يضمنه الاب" . قال هشيم: وهو القول.
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a father marries off his minor son, the dowry (mahr) is obligatory upon the son, unless the father takes responsibility for it." Hushaym says: This is the reliable opinion.

نا هشيم، انا مجالد، عن الشعبي، قال: " هو على الاب" .
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The dowry is obligatory upon the father."

نا حماد بن زيد، عن هشام بن عروة، عن ابيه ," انه زوج ابنة اخيه ابن اخيه وهما صغيران" .
Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that he married his brother's daughter to his brother's son, even though both were minors.
