بَابٌ: فِيمَا يَجِبُ بِهِ الصَّدَاقُ
Chapter: What necessitates the dowry
Hadith Number: 757
نا نا هشيم، قال: انا يحيى بن سعيد، عن سعيد بن المسيب، قال: قال عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه: " إذا ارخيت الستور فقد وجب الصداق والعدة" .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the curtains are drawn, the dowry and the waiting period become obligatory."

Hadith Number: 758
نا نا ابو عوانة، عن منصور، عن إبراهيم، عن عمر ، انه قال: " إذا اغلق الباب , او ارخي الستر , او كشف الخمار , فقد وجب الصداق" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "When the door is closed, or the curtain is drawn, or the veil is lifted, then the dowry becomes obligatory."

Hadith Number: 759
نا نا معتمر بن سليمان، عن منصور، عن إبراهيم، قال: قال عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه: " إذا اغلق الباب وارخي الستر ووضع الخمار وجب الصداق" .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the door is closed, the curtain is drawn, and the veil is removed, then the dowry becomes obligatory."

Hadith Number: 760
نا نا ابو معاوية، قال: نا الاعمش , عن إبراهيم، قال: قال عمر : " إذا اغلق الباب وارخي الستر فقد وجب الصداق" .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the door is closed and the curtain is drawn, the dowry becomes obligatory."

Hadith Number: 761
نا نا هشيم، قال: انا ابن ابي ليلى، عن المنهال بن عمرو، عن زر، وعباد بن عبد الله الاسدي، عن علي رضي الله عنه , انه قال: " من اصفق بابا وارخى سترا فقد وجب الصداق والعدة" .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever closed the door and drew the curtain, then the dowry and the waiting period become obligatory upon her."

Hadith Number: 762
نا هشيم، انا عوف، عن زرارة بن اوفى، قال:" قضى الخلفاء الراشدون المهديون: انه من اغلق بابا وارخى سترا فقد وجب الصداق والعدة" .
Zurarah bin Awfi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It was the decision of the rightly guided caliphs that closing the door and drawing the curtain makes the dowry and waiting period obligatory."

Hadith Number: 763
نا ابو عوانة، عن مغيرة , عن إبراهيم، قال: " إذا اطلع الرجل من امراته على ما لا يحل ان يطلع عليه غيره فقد وجب الصداق والعدة" .
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a husband sees in his wife that which it is not lawful for others to see, then the dowry and the waiting period become obligatory."

Hadith Number: 764
نا سفيان، عن جعفر بن محمد، عن ابيه، عن علي بن حسين , قال: قال لي: " ارخي عليك الستر واغلق عليك الباب؟ قلت: نعم، قال: وجب عليك الصداق" .
Hazrat Ali bin Husain (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It was said to me: Has the curtain been drawn over you and the door closed? I said: Yes. Then it was said: The seal has become obligatory upon you."

Hadith Number: 765
نا نا عبد الرحمن بن ابي الزناد، عن ابيه، عن سليمان بن يسار، عن زيد بن ثابت ," في الرجل يخلو بالمراة، فيقول: لم امسها، وتقول: قد مسني، فالقول قولها" .
It is narrated about Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that if a man and a woman are in seclusion, and the man says, "I did not touch her," and the woman says, "He touched me," then the statement of the woman will be considered valid.

Hadith Number: 766
نا هشيم، انا مغيرة، عن الشعبي، عن شريح , في رجل ادخلت عليه امراته فزعم انه لم يمسها، فقال شريح:" لم اسمع الله عز وجل يذكر في القرآن بابا ولا سترا، لها نصف الصداق، وعليها العدة" .
Hazrat Shurayh Qadhi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "In the Qur'an, Allah has not mentioned a door or a curtain; the woman will receive half the dowry and 'iddah will be obligatory upon her."
