بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي شَهَادَةِ النِّسَاءِ فِي النِّكَاحِ
Chapter: What is reported regarding the testimony of women in marriage
Hadith Number: 874
نا هشيم، قال: انا عبيدة، عن إبراهيم، قال: سالته عن رجل تزوج بشهادة رجل وامراة , قال:" يشهدون رجلا آخر" .
It is narrated from Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "If someone has performed a marriage with the testimony of a man and a woman, then appoint another man as a witness."

Hadith Number: 875
نا نا هشيم، انا حجاج، عن عطاء، عن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه ," انه اجاز شهادة النساء مع الرجل في النكاح" .
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted the testimony of women along with one man in marriage.

Hadith Number: 876
نا هشيم، انا إسماعيل بن ابي خالد، ومطرف، عن الشعبي ," انه كان يجيز شهادة النساء مع الرجل في النكاح والطلاق" .
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) considered the testimony of women along with one man permissible in both marriage and divorce.

Hadith Number: 877
نا هشيم، قال: انا عبيدة، عن إبراهيم ," انه كان لا يجيز شهادة النساء على الطلاق ولا على الحدود" .
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) did not consider the testimony of women permissible in cases of divorce and hudud (legal punishments).

Hadith Number: 878
نا هشيم، انا شعبة، عن الحكم، عن إبراهيم ," انه كان لا يجيز شهادة النساء على الحدود، والطلاق من اشد الحدود" .
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The testimony of women is not permissible in hudud (prescribed punishments), and divorce is also the strictest of the hudud."

Hadith Number: 879
نا هشيم، قال: انا يونس، عن الحسن،" انه كان لا يجيز شهادة النساء على الطلاق" .
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The testimony of women regarding divorce is not permissible."

Hadith Number: 880
نا هشيم، قال: انا عطاء بن السائب، قال: سالت إبراهيم عن شهادة رجل وامراتين على الطلاق، قال إبراهيم:" لو شهد تميم بن سلمة وكذا وكذا امراة على الطلاق لم يجز ذلك" .
It is narrated from Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "If Tamim bin Salamah and such-and-such women testify to a divorce, it will not be permissible."

نا هشيم، قال: انا زكريا، عن الشعبي، قال: " لا تجوز شهادة النساء على الحدود" .
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Women's testimony is not permissible in hudud (prescribed punishments)."
