كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ
Book of Divorce
بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَحِيضُ ثَلَاثَ حِيَضٍ فَيَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْهُرَ
Chapter: A man divorces his wife, she has three periods, and he enters upon her before she is purified
Hadith Number: 1226
نا نا سفيان، عن الزهري، عن سليمان بن يسار، عن زيد بن ثابت ، قال: " إذا طعنت في الحيضة الثالثة فقد برئ منها" .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the third menstruation begins, the wife becomes separated from the husband.

Hadith Number: 1227
نا نا عبد العزيز بن محمد، عن ثور بن زيد، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس ، قال: " إذا حاضت المطلقة الثالثة فقد برئت منه , إلا انها لا تزوج حتى تطهر" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When a divorced woman experiences her third menstruation, she becomes separated from her husband, but purification before marrying again is necessary.

Hadith Number: 1228
نا نا هشيم، قال: انا يحيى بن سعيد، عن سليمان بن يسار، عن زيد بن ثابت , انه كان يقول: " إذا دخلت في الحيضة الثالثة فلا رجعة له عليها , ولا ميراث بينهما" .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: After entering the third menstrual period, there remains no right of return or inheritance.

نا هشيم، قال: انا يحيى بن سعيد، عن سالم بن عبد الله، انه كان يقول مثل ما قال زيد.
Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) also narrated the same statement.

نا نا ابو معاوية، قال: انا الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، ان عمر ، وابن مسعود , قالا: " هو احق بها ما لم تغتسل من الحيضة الثالثة" .
Sayyiduna Umar and Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Reconciliation is possible until before ghusl (ritual bath).

نا نا سفيان، عن الزهري، عن عمرة، عن عائشة ، قالت: " الاقراء: الاطهار"
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: By «أقراء» is meant purifications.

. نا هشيم، قال: انا يحيى بن سعيد، عن من اخبره , عن عائشة ، مثل ذلك.
The same narration is also reported from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) through another chain of transmission.

نا نا عبد العزيز، عن جعفر بن محمد، عن ابيه، عن علي رضي الله عنه , قال: " هو احق بها ما لم تغتسل من الحيضة الثالثة" .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The husband has a right over his wife until she performs ghusl after her third menstruation.
