بَابُ مَا يَقَعُ لَهُ إِيلَاءُ الْيَمِينِ
Chapter on when the oath of abstinence takes effect
Hadith Number: 1939
نا سفيان، عن ابن طاوس، عن ابيه، قال: " يوقف الذي يؤلي عند الاربعة الاشهر، فإما ان يفيء، وإما ان يطلق" .
Hazrat Ibn Tawoos (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that the one who takes an oath of abstinence (ila) will be stopped at the end of four months, then he should either return (to his wife) or divorce her.

Hadith Number: 1940
نا سفيان، عن ابن ابي نجيح، عن مجاهد في الإيلاء، قال:" يوقف عند الاربعة الاشهر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that the one who takes an oath of abstinence (ila) will be stopped after the completion of four months.
