باب حق الوالدين - ذكر ما يجب على المرء من بر الوالدين على جهاد التطوع
Chapter on Parents’ Rights – One must honor parents over voluntary jihad.
Hadith Number: 423
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا شعيب بن إسحاق ، عن مسعر بن كدام ، عن عطاء بن السائب ، عن ابيه ، عن عبد الله بن عمرو ان رجلا اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، يبايعه على الهجرة، وقد اسلم، وقال: قد تركت ابوي يبكيان، قال:" ارجع إليهما، فاضحكهما كما ابكيتهما" وابى ان يخرج معه .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to pledge allegiance for migration. He accepted Islam, and then said: I have left my parents weeping. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Go back to them, and make them laugh just as you made them weep. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not accept his request to go with him (for jihad).
