Hadith Number: 525
اخبرنا محمد بن احمد بن ابي عون ، قال: حدثنا ابو قديد عبيد الله بن فضالة ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، عن معمر ، عن منصور، عن ابي وائل ، عن عبد الله ، قال: قال رجل: يا يا رسول الله متى اكون محسنا؟ قال: " إذا قال جيرانك: انت محسن، فانت محسن، وإذا قالوا: إنك مسيء، فانت مسيء" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! When will I be counted among those who do good?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When your neighbor says that you are good, then you are good; and when people say that you are bad, then you are bad."
