فصل من البر والإحسان - ذكر البيان بأن هذا الرجل الذي نحى غصن الشوك عن الطريق لم يعمل خيرا غيره
Section on Righteousness and Kindness – Clarification that the man who removed a thorny branch from the road did no other good deed
Hadith Number: 538
اخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن زياد الكتاني بالابلة، حدثنا الحسن بن محمد بن الصباح ، حدثنا ابو معاوية ، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " حوسب رجل ممن كان قبلكم، فلم يوجد له من الخير إلا غصن شوك كان على الطريق كان يؤذي الناس، فعزله، فغفر له" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“A man from among the people before you was brought to account, and in his record of deeds no good was found except for a thorny branch. That branch was lying on a path and was causing harm to people, so the man removed it from the way. Because of this, he was forgiven.”
