كِتَابُ البِرِّ وَالإِحْسَانِ

فصل من البر والإحسان - ذكر البيان بأن هذا الرجل غفر له ذنبه ما تقدم وما تأخر لذلك الفعل
Section on Righteousness and Kindness – Clarification that this man was forgiven for all his past and future sins for this act
Hadith Number: 539
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، حدثنا بحر بن نصر ، اخبرنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، ان دراجا ابا السمح ، حدثه عن ابن حجيرة ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " غفر لرجل اخذ غصن شوك عن طريق الناس ذنبه ما تقدم من ذنبه، وما تاخر" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "All the past and future sins of a person were forgiven who had removed a thorny branch from the path of people (and set it aside)."
