فصل من البر والإحسان - ذكر إعطاء الله جل وعلا الأجر لمن سقى كل ذات كبد حرى
Section on Righteousness and Kindness – Allah’s reward for one who gives water to every living creature
Hadith Number: 542
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا حرملة ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرنا يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن محمود بن الربيع ، ان سراقة بن جعشم ، قال: يا رسول الله الضالة ترد على حوضي، فهل فيها اجر إن سقيتها؟ قال: " اسقها، فإن في كل ذات كبد حرى اجرا" .
Sayyiduna Mahmud bin Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Ju’sham (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah! If a lost camel comes to my pond and I give it water to drink, will there be a reward for that? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Give it water to drink, for there is a reward in doing good to every living being.”
