Chapter on the Sunnahs of Ablution - Command to wash hands after sleep before starting ablution
Hadith Number: 1063
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، حدثنا القعنبي ، عن مالك ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا استيقظ احدكم من نومه، فليغسل يديه قبل ان يدخلهما في وضوئه، فإن احدكم لا يدري اين باتت يده" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any person wakes up from sleep, he should wash both his hands before performing ablution, because he does not know where his hand spent the night."
