باب سنن الوضوء - ذكر الخبر الدال على أن هذا الأمر أمر مخافة النجاسة إذا أصابت يد المرء عند طوفانها من بدنه
Chapter on the Sunnahs of Ablution - Report indicating this command is due to fear of impurity on the hand
Hadith Number: 1065
اخبرنا الحسين بن محمد بن مصعب ، حدثنا محمد بن الوليد البسري ، حدثنا غندر ، عن شعبة ، عن خالد الحذاء ، عن عبد الله بن شقيق ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا استيقظ احدكم من منامه، فلا يغمس يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها ثلاثا، فإنه لا يدري اين باتت يده منه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you wakes up from sleep, he should not dip his hand into a vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand was (on his body) during the night."
