باب مواقيت الصلاة - ذكر ما يستحب للمرء أن يعجل في أداء صلاة العصر ولا يؤخرها
Prayer times: Recommending to hasten Asr and not delay it
Hadith Number: 1522
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن موهب ، قال: حدثني الليث ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن انس بن مالك : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان " يصلي العصر والشمس مرتفعة حية، فيذهب الذاهب إلى العوالي، فياتي العوالي والشمس مرتفعة" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would perform the Asr prayer while the sun was still high and bright. Then a person would go to 'Awali and he would reach 'Awali while the sun was still high.
