Prayer times: Description of the sun's height when the Prophet prayed Asr
Hadith Number: 1521
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: حدثنا يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، قال: اخبرني عروة، ان عائشة اخبرته: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان " يصلي العصر والشمس في حجرتها، لم يظهر الفيء في حجرتها" .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform the Asr prayer while the sun (that is, sunlight) was still present in Sayyidah Aisha’s (may Allah be pleased with her) chamber, and the shadow in her chamber had not yet risen.
