Chapter on the Virtue of the Five Daily Prayers – Mention of the angels’ supplication for forgiveness and mercy for those waiting for prayer
Hadith Number: 1753
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان ، حدثنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" إن الملائكة تصلي على احدكم ما دام في مصلاه الذي صلى فيه ما لم يحدث: اللهم اغفر له، اللهم ارحمه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, the angels continue to pray for mercy for a person as long as he remains at his place of prayer where he performed the prayer. As long as he does not lose his ablution (the angels pray): O Allah! Forgive him. O Allah! Have mercy on him."
