Hadith Number: 4599
اخبرنا حامد بن محمد بن شعيب البلخي ببغداد، حدثنا منصور بن ابي مزاحم ، حدثنا يحيى بن حمزة ، عن محمد بن الوليد الزبيدي ، عن الزهري ، عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، ان رجلا اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله اي الناس افضل؟ قال:" رجل جاهد في سبيل الله بماله ونفسه، ثم مؤمن في شعب من الشعاب يعبد الله، ويدع الناس من شره" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Which person has the most virtue? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The person who strives in the way of Allah with his wealth and life, then the believer who lives in a mountain pass worshipping Allah and keeps people safe from his harm.
