Abu Dawood (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I met Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), he greeted me with Salam and held my hand and started smiling in front of me. He said, "Once I met the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he did the same with me and asked me the same question, and I gave the same answer as you did. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'When two Muslims meet and one of them greets the other with Salam and holds his hand solely for the sake of Allah's pleasure, then when they part, their sins are forgiven.'"
