It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting Surah Wat-Teen in one rak'ah of the Isha prayer. I have not heard anyone recite better than him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made a treaty with the people of Hudaybiyyah, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sat down to write the document of its contents. He wrote in it the words "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah" (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the polytheists said, "Do not write these words, because if you were the Messenger of Allah, we would never have fought you." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), "Erase these words." Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I cannot erase them." So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself erased them with his blessed hand. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made peace with them on the condition that he and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would only be able to stay in Makkah Mukarramah for three days and could only bring with them "jalban silah." The narrator asked the meaning of "jalban silah," so he replied, "the sheath and its sword."

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that among the companions of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the first to come to us were Mus‘ab bin ‘Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) and Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him). They used to teach people the Noble Qur’an. Then Hazrat ‘Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him), Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him) came. Then Hazrat ‘Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) came with twenty men. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself arrived. I have never seen the people of Madinah as happy as they were at that time, to the extent that even the slave girls were saying,“The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has arrived!”When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, I had already memorized Surah Al-A‘la and some other surahs from the Mufassalat.
