Hadith of Zirr ibn Hubaysh from Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 21203
Narrated from Zirr with reference to Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has commanded me to recite the Qur'an to you. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Al-Bayyina to them, and in it he also recited these verses: If the son of Adam asks for a valley of wealth and it is given to him, he will ask for a second one, and if he is given the second upon asking, he will ask for a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. And whoever repents, Allah turns to him. And this religion, in the sight of Allah, is called "Hanifiyyah," in which there is absolutely no polytheism, Judaism, or Christianity. And whoever does any good deed, it will never be denied to him. (Later, these verses were abrogated.)

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: I have been sent to a nation that is unlettered, among whom are extremely old men and women, and slaves as well.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abi (may Allah be pleased with him) that a cousin of mine lived far from the Prophet’s Mosque. I said to him,“It would be better if you got a donkey or something similar.”He replied,“I do not like that my house should be adjacent to the house of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).”I had never heard a more unpleasant statement from his mouth, but then it became clear that what he meant was to attain the reward of walking from afar to the mosque. So they asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“He will receive a rank for every step.”It is narrated from Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“You will get what you intended.”
