Hadith Number: 311
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن دينار ، قال: اخبرني ابو الشعثاء جابر بن زيد , انه سمع ابن عباس ، يقول: اخبرتني ميمونة ،" انها كانت تغتسل هي والنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من إناء واحد" , ثم قال سفيان: هذا الإسناد كان يعجب شعبة: سمعت، اخبرني سمعت، اخبرني , كانه اشتهى توصيله.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that she and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to perform ghusl from the same vessel. Sufyan narrated this, and Shu’bah liked this chain very much (in which these words are present):“I heard, he told me; I heard, he told me.”It is as if he wished that this narration would be connected (musnad).

Hadith Number 312

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا منبوذ المكي ، عن امه قالت: كنا عند ميمونة ، فدخل عليها ابن عباس، فقالت: اي بني , مالي اراك شعثا راسك؟ قال: إن مرجلتي ام عمار حائض، فقالت: اي بني , واين الحيضة من اليدين؟" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليضع راسه في حجر إحدانا وهي حائض، ثم يتلو القرآن، وإن كانت إحدانا لتقوم إليه بخمرته، فتبسطها له وهي حائض، فيصلي عليها" , اي بني! فاين الحيضة من اليد؟ .
Manbud Makki narrates from his mother: We were present with Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), when Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to her. Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: My son! What is the reason that I see your hair is disheveled? So Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: The one who arranges my hair, Umm Ammar, is in the state of menstruation. Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O my son! What does menstruation have to do with the hands? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would place his blessed head in the lap of one of us (wives) while she was in the state of menstruation, and the woman would be in that state, yet the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite (Qur'an). And one of us would take her sheet and spread it for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), even though she was in the state of menstruation, yet the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform prayer on that sheet. O my son! What does menstruation have to do with the hand?

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: ثنا ابو إسحاق الشيباني ، عن عبد الله بن شداد ، او يزيد بن الاصم سفيان الذي يشك , عن ميمونة ," ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يصلي على الخمر" .
Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform prayer on a large sheet.

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا الزهري ، قال: اخبرني عبيد الله بن عبد الله , انه سمع ابن عباس يحدث , عن ميمونة ، ان فارة وقعت في سمن فماتت، فسئل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عنها، فقال:" القوها وما حولها وكلوه" . قال ابو بكر: فقيل لسفيان: فإن معمرا يحدثه، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال سفيان: ما سمعت الزهري يحدثه إلا عن عبيد الله، عن ابن عباس، عن ميمونة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، ولقد سمعته منه مرارا.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her): A mouse fell into ghee and died. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about this. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Throw it and the (solidified) ghee around it away, and eat (the rest that remains).”
Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Sufyan was told: Ma‘mar has narrated this report from Zuhri, from Sa‘id, from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). So Sufyan replied: I heard Zuhri narrate it in this way, that this narration is from ‘Ubaydullah, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I have heard this narration from him several times.
Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Sufyan was told: Ma‘mar has narrated this report from Zuhri, from Sa‘id, from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). So Sufyan replied: I heard Zuhri narrate it in this way, that this narration is from ‘Ubaydullah, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I have heard this narration from him several times.

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابو إسحاق الشيباني ، عن عبد الله بن شداد بن الهاد ، عن ميمونة ، قالت: " صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في ثوب مرط كان بعضه عليه وبعضه علي، وانا حائض" .
Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed prayer while wearing a woolen sheet, part of which was on the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and part of it was on me, even though I was in a state of menstruation at that time.

Hadith Number 316

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابو سليمان عبد الله بن عبد الله ابن اخي يزيد بن الاصم الاكبر منهما، عن عمه يزيد بن الاصم ، عن ميمونة ، انها قالت:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا سجد، لو ارادت بهمة ان تمر من تحته لمرت مما يجافي" .
Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went into prostration, if a kid goat wanted to pass beneath him, it could pass, meaning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would keep his arms so far apart from his sides.

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا الزهري ، قال: اخبرني عبيد الله بن عبد الله ، عن ابن عباس ، عن ميمونة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مر بشاة لمولاة ميمونة قد اعطيتها من الصدقة ميتة، فقال:" ما على اهل هذه لو اخذوا إهابها فدبغوه، فانتفعوا به؟"، فقالوا: يا رسول الله، إنها ميتة، فقال:" إنما حرم اكلها" . فقيل لسفيان: فإن معمرا لا يقول فيه: فدبغوه، ويقول: كان الزهري ينكر الدباغ، فقال سفيان: لكني قد حفظته، وإنما اردنا منه هذه الكلمة التي لم يقلها غيره، إنما حرم اكلها، وكان سفيان ربما لم يذكر فيه ميمونة، فإذا وقف عليه، قال: فيه ميمونة.
Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her): Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a goat belonging to Sayyidah Maymunah’s slave-girl, which had died, and it had been given to her slave-girl as charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Its owner will not be harmed if he takes its skin, tans it, and makes use of it.”They said: O Messenger of Allah! It is dead. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“It has been made unlawful to eat it.”Sufyan was told: Ma‘mar, when narrating this report, does not use these words:“They should tan it.”He says: Zuhri used to deny the wording about tanning, so Sufyan said: I have memorized it in this way, and we especially focus on those words in this narration which no one else has narrated, namely the words:“It has been made unlawful to eat it.”The narrator named Sufyan sometimes does not mention Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) in this, and when he was alerted to this, he said: Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) is mentioned in it.

Hadith Number 318

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا الاعمش ، عن سالم بن ابي الجعد ، عن كريب ، عن ابن عباس ، عن ميمونة ," ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اغتسل من الجنابة، فغسل فرجه بيده، ثم دلك بها الحائط، ثم غسلها , ثم توضا وضوءه للصلاة، فلما فرغ من غسله غسل رجليه" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while performing ghusl after janabah, washed his private part with his blessed hand, then rubbed his hand on the wall, then washed it. Then he performed wudu as for prayer. When he finished performing ghusl, he washed both his feet.
