Hadith Number: 841
Sayyiduna Ya’la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) noticed me, and I had applied a specific type of fragrance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me:“O Ya’la! Do you have a wife? (i.e., are you married?)”I replied: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then wash it off and do not apply it again. Sayyiduna Ya’la (may Allah be pleased with him) says: So I washed it off and did not apply it again, then I washed it off and did not apply it again, then I washed it off and did not apply it again.
