Comprehensive Chapter on Hajj
Hadith Number: 956
وحدثني، عن مالك، انه سال ابن شهاب، عن الاستثناء في الحج، فقال: " او يصنع ذلك احد؟" وانكر ذلك .
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, asked Ibn Shihab whether making a condition in Hajj is permissible. He replied: Does anyone do that? And he rejected it.

Hadith Number: 956B
سئل مالك هل يحتش الرجل لدابته من الحرم؟ فقال: لا
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked whether it is permissible to cut the grass of the Haram for one's animal. He replied, "No."

بَابُ حَجِّ الْمَرْأَةِ بِغَيْرِ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ
A Woman Performing Hajj Without a Mahram
Hadith Number: Q957
قال مالك: في الصرورة من النساء التي لم تحج قط: إنها، إن لم يكن لها ذو محرم يخرج معها، او كان لها، فلم يستطع ان يخرج معها: انها لا تترك فريضة اللٰه عليها في الحج. لتخرج في جماعة النساء.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Those women who do not have husbands and have not performed Hajj, if they do not have a mahram or have one but he is unable to accompany them, then she should not abandon the obligatory Hajj, rather she should go for Hajj with other women.

بَابُ صِيَامِ التَّمَتُّعِ
Fasting for Tamattu'
Hadith Number: 957
حدثني حدثني يحيى، عن مالك، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عروة بن الزبير ، عن عائشة ام المؤمنين، انها كانت تقول: " الصيام لمن تمتع بالعمرة إلى الحج، لمن لم يجد هديا، ما بين ان يهل بالحج إلى يوم عرفة، فإن لم يصم صام ايام منى"
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to say: Fasting is obligatory upon the person who performs tamattu', that is, performs 'Umrah and then Hajj, and does not find a sacrificial animal. He should fast from the time he enters into the state of ihram for Hajj until the day of 'Arafah. If he does not fast during these days, then he should fast during the days of Mina.

Hadith Number: 958
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن ابن شهاب ، عن سالم بن عبد الله ، عن عبد الله بن عمر ، انه كان يقول: في ذلك مثل قول عائشة رضى الله تعالى عنها
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) also said in this case the same as the statement of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
