Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Tufail bin Amr Dausi (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) along with his companions and said: O Messenger of Allah! The people of the tribe of Daus have become rebellious and refuse to listen to the word of Allah. Please pray against them. Some of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said that now the people of Daus will be destroyed. But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Allah! Guide the people of Daus and bring them (into the fold of Islam).

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: There are three reasons, which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), because of which I always love Banu Tamim. The Noble Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said about them that among my Ummah, they will prove to be the strongest opponents of Dajjal. Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that (once) when zakat was received from Banu Tamim, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is the zakat of our people. A woman from Banu Tamim was captured and was with Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Set her free, for she is from the descendants of Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him).

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You will find people to be like mines (of gold and silver, in goodness and badness). Those who were the best and possessed good qualities in the time of ignorance are the best and possess good qualities in Islam as well, provided they acquire understanding of the religion. And you will find that the one most suitable for leadership and authority is the one who dislikes it the most. And among people, the worst is the double-faced person, who comes to some people with one face and to others with another face.

Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A time will come when a Muslim army will be out for jihad. It will be asked: Are there any elders in the army who have had the company of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? It will be said: Yes. Then (by bringing them forward for supplication) they will be asked to pray for victory. Then a time will come when it will be sought whether any elders can be found who have had the company of the companions of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (i.e., the Tabi‘een).
