Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The people of Yemen are extremely compassionate and soft-hearted, and through obedience and compliance, they are the most successful."

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the people of Yemen came, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Yemen have come; they are more soft-hearted than you." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: They were the first people who initiated handshaking.

Muhammad bin Jubair bin Mut’im narrates from his father Sayyiduna Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him), who says: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the road to Makkah, and he said:“The people of Yemen will come to you, as if they are clouds; they are the best people of the earth.”An Ansari man said: O Messenger of Allah! Are they better than us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. He asked again: O Messenger of Allah! Are we not the best? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. He asked again: O Messenger of Allah! Are we not the best? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in a low voice the third time:“Except for you.”

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when this verse was revealed: "When the help of Allah and victory comes." (Surah An-Nasr: 1), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Yemen have come to you; they are soft-hearted, and Yemeni faith, Yemeni jurisprudence, and Yemeni wisdom and understanding are (the best things)."

Asir bin Jabir narrates that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Uwais Qarni, "Pray for my forgiveness." He replied, "You are more deserving to seek forgiveness for me, because you are among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah." Sayyiduna Umar said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'A man named Uwais from the tribe of Qarn will be the best of the Tabi'in.'"

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Twelve thousand men will emerge from Aden Abyan; they will support Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and they will be the best among me and between their (generations)."

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a messenger to an Arab tribe. The narrator of the hadith, Mahdi bin Maymun, did not know the name of this tribe. The people of this tribe abused the messenger and also beat him. When he returned and complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "If you had gone to the people of Oman, they would neither have abused you nor beaten you."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw in a dream a large number of black goats, and among them a great number of white goats entered." The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! What interpretation did you give to this dream? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Non-Arabs will share with you in your religion and lineage." They said: O Messenger of Allah! Non-Arabs? (What are you saying?) He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If faith were suspended with the Pleiades star, even then some people from among the non-Arabs would attain it. (Bear in mind that) they will be extremely fortunate people."

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the sons of Abu al-As reach thirty men, they will find fault and deficiency in the religion of Allah, they will enslave the servants of Allah, and they will exchange the wealth of Allah among themselves." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Sufyan, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them).

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I saw in a dream that the Banu Hakam bin Abu al-As were jumping on my pulpit like monkeys." This hadith has been narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah and Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with them both), and from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib in mursal form. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated these words along with the aforementioned hadith: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was never seen laughing loudly until his death.
