Praying in red clothes is permissible
Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a red leather tent, and I saw Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he brought water for ablution for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and I saw the people that they began to take that ablution (water) hand to hand. Then whoever got some of it would rub it on his face, and whoever did not get any would take moisture from his companion’s hand. Then I saw Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he picked up a small spear and fixed it in the ground, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out wearing a red garment (lifting his cloak), and performed two rak‘ahs of prayer with the people towards the spear, and I saw the people and animals passing in front of the spear (here the spear or ‘anza was used as a sutrah).

Praying on roofs, pulpits, and wood is permissible
Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked,“What was the (Prophet’s) pulpit made of?”He replied,“There is no one among the people who knows this matter better than me (now). It was made of tamarisk wood from the forest of Ghaba. A slave woman’s servant made it for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When it was constructed and placed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on it, faced the Qiblah, and said the opening Takbir. The people stood behind him. Then he recited (Qur’an), bowed (in Ruku’), and the people bowed behind him. Then he raised his blessed head, then stepped back until he prostrated on the ground. Then he ascended the pulpit again, recited (Qur’an), bowed, then raised his head and stepped back until he prostrated on the ground. Thus, this was the story of the pulpit.”

So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate from it, then said: "Stand up, I will pray for you." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I turned to a mat of mine which had become black due to excessive use, so I washed it with water. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood on it, and I and an orphan formed a row behind him, and the old woman was behind us. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in two rak‘ahs and then returned.
