Is it permissible to say this mosque belongs to certain people?
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that (on one occasion) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held a horse race between trained horses from (the place of) Hafya, and its end was at Thaniyyat al-Wada'. And for those horses that were not trained, he held a race from Thaniyya to the mosque of Banu Zuraiq. And Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was among those who participated in that horse race.

Distributing things and hanging clusters in mosque
Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that wealth was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from Bahrain. He (peace be upon him) said: "Spread it out in the mosque." And that (wealth) was more than any wealth that had ever been brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) up to that time. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came for prayer and did not even look towards it. Then when he (peace be upon him) had finished the prayer, he came and sat by it, and whoever he saw, he would certainly give to him. Meanwhile, Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Give me (also), for I have paid my own ransom and the ransom of Aqil." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Take it." He took with both hands into his garment, then tried to lift it but could not. Then he said, "O Messenger of Allah! Order someone among them to help me lift it." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No." He said, "Then you yourself place it on me." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No." So Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) dropped some of it and tried to lift it (and still could not), so he said, "O Messenger of Allah! Order someone among them to help me lift it." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again said, "No." He said, "Then you yourself lift it and place it on me." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) refused. Then Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) dropped some more from it. After that, he lifted it and placed it on his shoulder and went away. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), amazed at his greed, kept looking at him from behind until he disappeared from us. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not leave from there until not a single dirham remained.

Establishing mosques in homes is established
Sayyiduna Mahmood bin Rabee’ Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna ‘Itbaan bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the Ansari companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who participated in Badr, came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said,“O Messenger of Allah! I find my eyesight to be weak and I also lead my people in prayer. So, when it rains, the valley that lies between me and them flows, and I cannot go to their mosque to lead them in prayer. So, O Messenger of Allah! I wish that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would come to me and pray in my house so that I may take that place as a prayer area.”Sayyiduna ‘Itbaan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him,“I will do so, insha’Allah, soon.”So he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came when the sun had risen. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sought permission to enter, so I gave him permission. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the house and had not yet sat down when he said,“In which part of your house do you wish me to pray?”So Sayyiduna ‘Itbaan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I pointed to a place in the house, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood there and said Allahu Akbar. We formed a row behind him. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed two rak’ahs and then gave salam. Sayyiduna ‘Itbaan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we detained him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for khazeerah (a dish made of meat and flour) which we had prepared for him. Then he says that several people from the neighborhood gathered in the house, and one of them said,“Where is Malik bin Dukhshum?”or (he said),“Where is Ibn Dukhshum?”So another among them said,“He is a hypocrite; he does not love Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).”So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,“Do not say this. Have you not seen that he said La ilaha illallah seeking Allah’s pleasure?”That person said,“Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) know best, but outwardly we have seen his inclination and goodwill towards the hypocrites.”So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,“Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has made the Fire forbidden for the person who says La ilaha illallah, seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure.”

Is it permissible to remove graves of idolaters and build mosques there?
Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her): Umm Habiba and Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with them) saw a church in Abyssinia in which there were pictures. They mentioned this to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and he said: "When a righteous man among those people died, they would build a mosque over his grave and make these pictures in it. These people are the worst of creatures in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection."

Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Madinah (after migrating), he stayed in the upper part of Madinah among a tribe called Banu Amr bin Awf, and he stayed among those people for fourteen nights. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent for Banu Najjar, so they came with their swords hanging. Now, it is as if I am looking at the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he is on his mount and Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) is riding behind him, and the group of Banu Najjar is around the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), until he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dismounted at the house of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) and unloaded his belongings. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) liked that wherever the time for prayer came, he would pray there, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would also pray in the places where goats were kept. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the construction of a mosque. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent for the people of Banu Najjar and said: "O Banu Najjar! Sell me this garden of yours." They replied, "By Allah! We will not take its price except from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic." Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: In that (garden) were things I am telling you about, that is, graves of polytheists, ruins, and date-palm trees. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that the graves of the polytheists be dug up. Then he ordered that the ruins be leveled and the trees be cut down, and the date-palm trees were set up in the direction of the qiblah of the mosque, and its enclosure was made with stones. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) began to bring stones, reciting rajaz verses, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was with them and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say: "The real benefit is the benefit of the Hereafter. O Allah, grant forgiveness to the Ansar and the Muhajirin."

Woman sleeping in mosque is permissible
Narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that there was an Abyssinian slave girl belonging to an Arab tribe. They had set her free, but she used to stay with them. She narrates that (once) a girl from that tribe went out, and she had a red leather amulet on her body. She says that she herself took it off, or it fell from her, then a kite passed by that way and the amulet was lying (on the ground). The kite thought it was meat and snatched it away. She says that those people searched for it but could not find it, so they accused me of taking it. She says that they started searching me, even to the extent that they looked at her private parts. She says, "By Allah, I was standing with them when suddenly that kite passed by and dropped it (the amulet)." She says that the amulet fell among them. She says, "I said, 'This is the very thing for which you accused me. You suspected me, although I was innocent, and here it is.'" Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that then she came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted Islam, so she had a tent in the mosque, or (she said) a small room. And she used to come to me and talk to me. And whenever she came to me, she would always say, "The day of the amulet is one of the wonders of our Lord's ... powers ... Be aware, it is He who saved me from the city of disbelief ..." Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says, "I asked her, 'What is the matter that whenever you come to me, you always say this?' So she narrated this story to me."
