مختصر صحيح بخاري
Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
Shortening prayer due to a child crying.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: When I stand for prayer, I intend to prolong it, but on hearing the crying of a child, I shorten my prayer, disliking that I might cause hardship to his mother.
Straightening the rows before or after the call to prayer.
Narrated Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Straighten your rows, or Allah will turn your faces."
Imam facing the people while straightening rows.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Straighten your rows and stand close together, for I can see you from behind my back."
If there is a barrier between imam and followers, prayer is valid.
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer the Tahajjud prayer in his chamber, and the wall of the chamber was low, so people saw the body of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and some people stood up to follow him in prayer. When morning came, they talked about it. Then on the second night, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, and some people again stood up to follow him in prayer that night as well. For two or three nights, people did the same, until when the next night came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at home and did not come out to pray. In the morning, people mentioned this, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“I feared that (due to this regularity) the prayer (Tahajjud) might be made obligatory upon you.”
Night prayer (Tahajjud).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) in this hadith (in addition to the previous hadith) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (came in the morning and) said: "I have understood what I saw of your action (that is, you are eager for worship), so O people! Pray in your homes, for the best prayer of a person among his prayers is the one he performs in his house, except for the obligatory prayer."
