Pausing briefly between two prostrations.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I will not fall short in leading you in prayer just as I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) lead it.... This hadith has already passed (see the chapter: When one raises his head from bowing, he should stand calmly).

Not spreading elbows on the ground in prostration.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Be moderate in prostrations, and none of you should spread his forearms (on the ground) like a dog spreads them."

Sitting straight after odd rak‘ah before standing.
Sayyiduna Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing prayer, and (he saw that) when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in an odd-numbered rak‘ah of his prayer, he would not stand up until he had sat straight.

Saying Takbir when rising for the third rak‘ah after two.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that he led the prayer, and whenever he raised his head (first) from prostration and performed the second prostration, and when he raised his head (from the second prostration), and when he stood up after completing two rak'ahs, on all these occasions he said the takbeer aloud and said: I have seen the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) doing the same.

How to sit in Tashahhud.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when (his father Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) would sit in prayer, he would sit cross-legged. I also sat in the same way. I was young in those days, so (my father) Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) forbade me and said that the correct way of prayer is that you should raise your right foot and fold your left. Upon this, I said, "You (i.e., Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) also do the same." He replied, "My feet (have become weak and) cannot bear my weight."

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Humayd As-Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him):
I remember the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) better than any of you. I saw that when he said the takbir (of opening), he raised both his hands up to the level of his shoulders. And when he bowed for ruku’, he placed both his hands firmly on his knees, then bent his back. And when he raised his head (from ruku’), he stood up straight until every bone returned to its place. And when he prostrated, he placed both his hands on the ground, neither spreading them out nor gathering them in, and he turned the toes of his feet towards the qiblah. Then, when he sat after two rak’ahs, he sat on his left foot and kept his right foot upright. Then, when he sat in the last rak’ah, he brought his left foot forward and kept his right foot upright and sat on his buttocks.

Who does not consider the first Tashahhud obligatory.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Buhaina (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he was from the tribe of Azd Shanu’ah and an ally of Banu Abd Manaf, and among the companions of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the people in the Zuhr prayer (one day), and (by mistake) stood up after the first two rak’ahs and did not sit, so the people also stood up with him. When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) completed the prayer and the people were waiting for him to say salam, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said takbeer while sitting and performed two prostrations before saying salam, and then he said salam.

Reciting Tashahhud in the second sitting as well.
Narrated Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him):
When we used to pray behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), in the sitting (tashahhud), we used to say: Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon Jibreel, peace be upon Mika'il, and peace be upon so-and-so and so-and-so. Then (once) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) looked towards us and said: "Allah Himself is As-Salam (the Source of Peace), so what is the need to send peace upon Him? So when any of you prays, let him say: 'All verbal, physical, and financial acts of worship are for Allah. O Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon all the righteous slaves of Allah.' For when you say this, this supplication will reach every righteous slave of Allah, whether he is in the heavens or on the earth. (And) I bear witness that there is no true deity except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah."

Supplicating before ending prayer with Salam.
‘Mother of the Believers, Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her),’ the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to make this supplication in prayer:“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the tribulation of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.”Someone said that you seek refuge from debt very often (what is the reason for this?), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“When a person becomes indebted, when he speaks, he lies, and when he makes a promise, he breaks it.”

It is narrated from Amir al-Mu'minin Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he requested the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Teach me a supplication which I may recite in my prayer." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Recite this supplication: 'O Allah! I have greatly wronged myself and there is none to forgive sins except You, so forgive me with Your mercy and have mercy on me. Surely, You are the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.'"
