Allah's statement: "When the Friday prayer is finished, disperse in the land..."
`Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when we came to Madinah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) established brotherhood between me and Sa’d bin Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with him). So Sa’d bin Rabi’ said (to me),“I am the wealthiest among the Ansar, (therefore) I will give you half of my wealth, and you may choose whichever of my two wives you like; I will divorce her for you, and when her waiting period is over, you may marry her.”(Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman, the narrator, said) So Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) replied,“I do not need this. (Just tell me) is there any market here where trade is conducted?”He replied,“Yes, there is a market called Qainuqa’.”(So) in the morning, Abdur Rahman went to that market and brought back some cheese and ghee. (The narrator) says that after that, he started going daily. After a few days, Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) came (to the service of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and there was a trace of yellow (scent) on his clothes. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him,“Have you married?”He replied,“Yes.”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked,“To whom?”He replied,“To an Ansari woman.”So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked,“How much dowry did you give her?”He replied,“A gold date-stone’s weight,”or he said,“a gold date-stone.”Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him,“Give a wedding feast, even if it is with only one goat.”

Halal and haram are clear, and between them are doubtful matters.
Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters. So whoever leaves that in which he suspects there is sin, he will also leave that which is clearly and openly sinful. And whoever dares to do that in which there is doubt of sin, soon he will fall into that which is clearly sinful. And sins are the protected pastures of Allah Almighty; whoever grazes around the pasture (i.e., sins), soon he will enter into that pasture as well.”

Explanation of doubtful matters.
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that Utbah bin Abi Waqqas had made a will to his brother (the conqueror of Persia) Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the son of Zam’ah’s slave woman is mine, so you should take him into your custody. Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when the year of the conquest of Makkah came, Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) took him and said,“This is my nephew; my brother made a will to me about him.”So, ‘Abd bin Zam’ah stood up and said,“He is my brother and the son of my father’s slave woman.”Then both of them came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“O Messenger of Allah! This is my nephew; my brother made a will to me about him.”(‘Abd) bin Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“He is my brother, the son of my father’s slave woman, and was born on his bed.”So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O ‘Abd bin Zam’ah! The boy will go to you.”After that, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The child belongs to the (legal) owner of the bed, and the adulterer gets nothing but stones.”After that, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Umm al-Mu’minin Sawdah bint Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with her) (his wife):“Observe veil from him.”Because the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw some resemblance to Utbah in the boy. Thus, Umm al-Mu’minin Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) did not see the boy until she met Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.

Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her): Some people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Trading in clothes, etc.
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib رضي الله عنه and Zaid bin Arqam رضي الله عنه say: We used to trade during the time of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, so we asked the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم about sarf (for example, exchanging rupees for rupees). He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "If it is hand to hand (i.e., cash), then it is permissible, and if it is on credit, then it is not permissible."

Traveling for trade.
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Commander of the Faithful, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), (to meet him), but he was not granted permission. (At that time) Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was occupied with some work. So Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) returned. Then when Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) became free, he said, "I heard the voice of Abdullah bin Qais (Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him), grant him permission." So the people said, "He has already gone back." Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) called him again (and asked, "Why did you return?"). He replied, "We were commanded to do so." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Present a witness for this." So he went to the gathering of the Ansar and asked them. The Ansar said, "The testimony for this will be given by Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who is the youngest among us." So he took him (to Umar), and he testified (that it was the command of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him). Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "This command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) remained hidden from me because I was busy traveling in the markets for trade."
