About“Your mothers who nursed you...”(Nisa: 23) and the Prophet’s saying:“What is unlawful by lineage is unlawful by nursing.”
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that someone said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Why do you not marry (the leader of the martyrs, Sayyiduna) Hamza's (may Allah be pleased with him) daughter? Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the voice of a man who was seeking permission to enter the house of Ummul Momineen Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her). Ummul Momineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed this (non-mahram) man wants to enter your house." So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I know that this is so-and-so, who is Hafsa's (may Allah be pleased with her) foster uncle." Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked: "If so-and-so, who was my uncle through milk relationship, were alive, would I appear before him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! The relationships that are forbidden by lineage are also forbidden by suckling (milk relationship)."

Umm al-Mu’minin Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I said,“O Messenger of Allah! Marry my sister, the daughter of Abu Sufyan.”He asked,“Do you like that?”(Do you not dislike having a co-wife?) I said,“Yes.”(But) even now, I am not your only wife, and I do not dislike my sister sharing goodness with me.”He said,“It is not lawful for me (to have two sisters in marriage at the same time).”I said,“We have heard that you want to marry the daughter of Abu Salamah?”The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked,“The daughter of Umm Salamah? (Do you mean I want to marry her?)”I said,“Yes.”So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“Even if she were not my stepdaughter (the daughter of my wife from a previous husband), she would still not be lawful for me, because she is my niece through breastfeeding. Both Abu Salamah (her father) and I were breastfed by Thuwaibah (may Allah be pleased with her). (O lady!) Do not present your sisters and daughters to me (they are not lawful for me).”

Proof that nursing after two years is not valid, and Allah’s saying:“Mothers may nurse their children two complete years...”(Surah Baqarah: 233)
Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her, and at that time a man was sitting with her. Seeing this, the blessed face of the Prophet (peace be upon him) changed, as if he disliked it. I said, "This is my foster brother." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Consider carefully who your brothers are, because the relationship of fosterage is only established when the child’s nourishment (is milk)."

Chapter on Shighar Marriage (Exchange Marriage).
Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade Shighar marriage (which means that a man gives his daughter or sister in marriage to another man on the condition that the latter gives his daughter or sister in marriage to the former, and no dowry is fixed for either of them).

The Prophet forbade Mut'ah marriage at the end.
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah and Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with them) say: We were in an army (which went to Hunain), when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: You are permitted to do Mut’ah, so do Mut’ah. Ibn Abi Dhi’b narrates that Iyas bin Salamah bin Akwa’ narrated from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“If a man and a woman do Mut’ah and do not specify a period, then (at least) they should stay together for three days and three nights. After that, if they wish, they may separate or extend the period.”Salamah said:“I do not know whether this permission was specific for us or for all people.”Imam Bukhari clarified that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that this ruling was abrogated at the battle of Khaybar. A woman offering herself to a righteous man for marriage.
Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a woman presented herself to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (for marriage), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not respond. Then a man said to him,“O Messenger of Allah! Marry her to me.”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked,“What do you have (to give as a dowry)?”He replied,“I have nothing.”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,“Go and look, even if it is an iron ring.”He went and then returned and said,“By Allah, O Messenger of Allah! I found nothing, not even an iron ring, but I have this lower garment, give her half of it.”Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he did not have another sheet. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied,“What will she do with your garment? If you wear it, she will get nothing from it, and if she wears it, you will get nothing from it.”The poor man sat down (disappointed), and after sitting for a long time, he stood up (to leave). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw him (leaving) and called him back himself or had someone call him, and said,“Which surahs of the Qur’an do you know by heart?”He counted several surahs and said,“I know such and such surahs.”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,“We have given her to you in marriage in exchange for the Qur’an (that you know by heart),”(meaning you will teach her those surahs and that will be your dowry).

It is permissible to see a woman before marriage.
A different narration from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) states that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said,“O Messenger of Allah! I have come to offer myself to you.”The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at her, then looked at her from head to toe, then lowered his head... Then the previous hadith was narrated in full, and at the end it was said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Can you recite (these surahs) by heart?”He said,“Yes.”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“Go! I have made you the owner of this woman in exchange for what you know of the Qur’an.”(That is, teaching these surahs will be your dowry.)

Marriage is not valid without a guardian.
Narrated Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him): I married my sister to a man, and he divorced her. When her 'iddah was completed, he again sent a proposal for marriage. I replied to him, "I had married her to you and made her your wife, and honored you, but you divorced her. Now you are sending a proposal again? By Allah! She will never return to you." That man was not bad (he was righteous), and my sister was also willing to return to him. At that time, Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: "Do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands" (Al-Baqarah: 232). I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Now (since Allah's command has come), I will surely comply (and marry her to him)." Then he married his sister to him. (Note: In the blessed verse, the address is to the guardians (such as father, brother, etc.) of the woman, because it is their responsibility to arrange the marriage. If the guardian's permission was not necessary, the address would not have been to the guardians of the woman.)
