Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim
The Prophet’s silver ring inscribed“Muhammad Rasul Allah”and its use by caliphs
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a ring made of silver and had engraved on it "Muhammad Rasul Allah" (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said to the people: I have had a ring made of silver and have had engraved on it "Muhammad Rasul Allah", so no one should engrave this inscription on his ring.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wanted to write letters to (the king of Iran) Kisra, (the king of Rome) Caesar, and (the king of Abyssinia) Najashi. The people said, "These kings will not accept any letter unless it has a seal on it." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a ring made, the band of which was of silver, and "Muhammad Rasul Allah" was engraved on it.
Silver ring with Abyssinian stone worn on right hand
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wore a silver ring on his right hand, whose stone was from Abyssinia, and he, peace and blessings be upon him, would turn its stone towards the inside of his palm.
Wearing a ring on the little finger of the left hand
'Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that' the ring of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on this finger, and he pointed towards the little finger of his left hand.
Prohibition of wearing rings on the middle and adjacent finger
Ameer-ul-Mu'mineen Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from wearing a ring on this finger or this finger, and he pointed towards the middle finger and the one next to it. (Because these fingers are involved in every task and the ring would cause inconvenience, whereas the little finger remains separate, so it is better to wear the ring on it.)
Shoes and wearing them more
`Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a battle in which we participated, saying: Wear shoes frequently, for by wearing shoes a person remains like a rider (that is, like a rider, his feet do not suffer pain).
Start with the right when putting on shoes, left when removing
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When any one of you puts on his shoes, he should start with the right foot, and when he takes them off, he should start with the left. And he should either wear both (shoes) or take off both.
Prohibition of walking with one shoe
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: None of you should walk wearing only one shoe. Either wear both or take both off (otherwise there is a risk of spraining the foot and it also looks unsightly).
Prohibition of shaving part of the head and leaving part
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade qaza'. The narrator said: I asked Nafi' what qaza' is. He said: Shaving part of a child's head and leaving part of it.
Prohibition of women adding artificial hair
Lady Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My daughter has become a bride and due to measles her hair has fallen out, so may I attach something to her hair? (i.e., artificial hair or similar items available in the market)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Allah has cursed the one who attaches (false hair) and the one who has it attached."
