Severity regarding women attaching hair
`Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) strictly forbade a woman from attaching extensions to her hair.
It is narrated from Humaid bin Abdur Rahman bin Awf that he heard from Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with them both), in the year he performed Hajj. He said on the pulpit, while holding a braided lock of hair in his hand, which was with a slave: "O people of Madinah! Where are your scholars? I heard the Messenger of Allah forbidding this (i.e., hair extensions), and he said that the Children of Israel were destroyed when their women began to do this (i.e., indulging in luxury and lust, and turning away from fighting)."
Curse on plucking facial hair and spacing teeth
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Allah Almighty has cursed those who tattoo and those who get tattooed, and those who pluck facial hair and those who have it plucked, and those who widen their teeth for beauty (so that they appear beautiful and youthful), and those who alter Allah’s creation (natural form). Then this news reached a woman of the tribe of Banu Asad, who was called Umm Ya’qub and she was a reciter of the Qur’an. So she came to Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said,“What is this news I have heard that you have cursed those who tattoo and those who get tattooed, and those who pluck facial hair and those who have it plucked, and those who widen their teeth, and those who alter Allah’s creation?”Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“Why should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has cursed, and this is present in the Book of Allah?”The woman said,“I have read whatever is in the Qur’an in two covers, but I did not find it.”Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“If you have read it, then you must have found Allah Almighty’s statement: ‘Whatever the Messenger of Allah gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, abstain from it.’ (Al-Hashr: 7)”The woman said,“Some of these things are done by your own wife.”Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“Go and see.”She went to his wife but found nothing. Then she returned and said,“I did not see any of these things.”Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“If she did so, we would not live with her.”
Claiming to be full when not
Lady Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) says that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I have a co-wife. Will I be sinful if I say (to provoke her) that my husband has given me such-and-such, even though he has not given it to me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Whoever claims to have been given something which she was not given, it is as if she is wearing two garments of falsehood (and presents herself as pious and righteous, while in reality she is worldly and deceitful). There is no power and no strength except with Allah."
Women clothed yet naked
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are two types of people among the inhabitants of Hell whom I have not seen. One is a people who have whips like the tails of oxen and they beat people with them. The second is women who are clothed yet naked (i.e., parts of their bodies that should be covered are exposed, such as when women wear sarees and their heads, bellies, and feet remain uncovered, or they wear clothes so tight and thin that their bodies are visible, so it is as if they are naked). They are deviated from the straight path and lead others astray, and their heads are inclined to one side like the humps of Bactrian camels. They will not enter Paradise, nor even smell its fragrance, although the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a great distance."
Cutting animal necklaces
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bashir Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah sent a messenger. Abdullah bin Abi Bakr said: I think that messenger said this while the people were in their resting places, that there should not remain any string necklace or necklace on the neck of any camel except that it should be cut off. Malik said: I think they used to put it on to ward off the evil eye.
Bells and angels not accompanying journeys with dogs and bells
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The angels do not accompany those travelers who have a bell or a dog with them.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The bell is the musical instrument of Satan.
Prohibition of branding animals on the face
`Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade striking on the face and branding on the face.
Na'im bin Abi Abdullah, the freed slave of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that he heard Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a donkey that had been branded on its face, and he disliked it. Ibn Abbas said: By Allah, I only brand at a place far from the face (i.e., on the thigh, etc.), and he ordered his donkey to be branded, so it was branded on the thighs. And he (Ibn Abbas) was the first to brand on the thighs.
