Statement about trials and tribulations
Hadith Number: 935
The son of Sayyiduna Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from his paternal aunt (Fatimah bint Yaman, may Allah be pleased with her), she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill, so I, along with some Muhajir women, went to attend to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had hung a water skin, and it was dripping drop by drop onto his chest. I said: O Messenger of Allah! This has caused you pain, pray to Allah to remove this hardship from you. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The prophets (peace be upon them all) are tested the most severely, then those nearest to them, and then those who come after them.”

Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I, along with some women, went to visit the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to inquire about his health. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a water-skin hanging. Then the narrator mentioned the hadith similar to the previous one.

Lady Fatimah (bint Yaman, may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I came into the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) along with some women, and saw that he had hung a water-skin and, due to the pain he was experiencing, its water was being dripped drop by drop onto him. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah that He removes your pain. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The most severe trials come upon all the Prophets (peace be upon them), then those after them, then those after them, and then those after them.”

Statement about blessings in lawful wealth
Hadith Number: 938
Ubaid Sanuta narrated: I went to Umm Muhammad (Khawla bint Qais, may Allah be pleased with her), who was the wife of Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib, may Allah be pleased with him. After him, a man named Hanzala married her. She (Khawla) said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came one day to the daughter of Hamza, and she mentioned the emirates to him. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The world is lush and green, so whoever takes from it with its due right, Allah will bless it for that person. Sometimes, for the one who indulges in Allah’s wealth according to his own desires, there will be the fire of Hell on the Day of Resurrection."

Statement about greed for wealth
Hadith Number: 939
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say this often, so I do not know whether it was something he considered preferable or if it is from the Book of Allah: "If a person has two valleys full of wealth, he will wish for a third like them; nothing will fill his soul except (the grave's) dust. Whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance."
