Kulaib says that once I was sitting with Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said that once I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and at that time, besides Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), there was no one else with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me and said: "O son of Abu Talib! What will be your condition when you encounter such and such a people?" I said, Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: "There will be a people who will emerge from the east; they will recite the Qur'an but it will not go beyond their throats. They will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes through its prey. Among them will be a man whose hand will be defective, and his hand will feel like the breast of an Abyssinian woman."

Kulaib says that once I was sitting with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), when a man came to him who was wearing travel clothes. He sought permission from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)—who was conversing with people—to come inside. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), after turning his face away from him, began to say that once I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and at that time, besides Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), there was no one else with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), seeing me, said: "O son of Abu Talib! What will be your condition when you encounter such and such a people?" I replied that Allah and His Messenger know best. This happened twice, then he said: "There will be a people who will emerge from the east. They will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will exit the religion just as an arrow passes through its prey. Among them will be a man whose hand will be defective, and his hand will feel like the breast of an Abyssinian woman." . . . . . After this, he mentioned the complete hadith.

Abdu Khair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) taught us the way of ablution (wudu) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So first he washed his hands, rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed both arms including the elbows three times, then again put his hands into the vessel and dipped his hand underneath it, then took it out and rubbed it on the other hand, and with both palms wiped the head once, and washed both feet including the ankles three times, then made a handful of water with his palm and drank a little from it, and said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution in this manner.
