It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is my son. My womb was his vessel, my lap was his cradle, and my breast was his source of nourishment. But now his father is saying that he will take him away from me?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As long as you do not marry elsewhere, you have more right to him."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Ruh, whose real name was Zanba‘, found his slave with a slave-girl. He cut off the slave’s nose and castrated him. The slave came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him,“Who did this to you?”He mentioned the name of Zanba‘. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) summoned him and asked,“Why did you do this?”He narrated the whole incident. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the slave:“Go, you are free.”He said,“O Messenger of Allah! Who has freed me?”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“You are freed by Allah and His Messenger.”And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also advised the Muslims regarding him. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away, the slave came to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and mentioned the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) advice. He said:“Yes, I remember. We will provide for you and your family.”Thus, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) arranged for his sustenance. Then, when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away and Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) became the caliph, he came again and mentioned the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) advice. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also said:“Yes, I remember. Where do you want to go?”He mentioned Egypt. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to the governor of Egypt instructing him to give him enough land so that he could eat and drink from it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while leaning against the Ka'bah and advising the people, said: "No person should perform voluntary prayers after the 'Asr prayer until night, nor after Fajr until sunrise.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that someone asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about "Aqiqah." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty does not like 'Uquq' (disobedience)." It is as if the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not like the verbal similarity. The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! We are asking you regarding our children." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you wishes to offer a sacrifice on behalf of his child, let him slaughter two equal goats for a boy and one goat for a girl." Then someone asked about the sacrifice of the firstborn camel. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is valid, but if you leave it until it matures and becomes two or three years old, then you give it to someone for the sake of Allah as a riding animal or give it to widows, that is better than slaughtering it, smearing its meat with its hair, overturning your pot, and making your she-camel mad." Then someone asked about "Atirah." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Atirah is valid." Someone asked Amr bin Shu'aib about the meaning of Atirah, so he explained that people used to slaughter a goat in the month of Rajab, cook it, eat it themselves, and feed others as well.
