One day, Sayyiduna Ibn Zubair said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far, "Do you remember the day when we came before the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he left you and picked me up?" It was the noble habit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that when he returned from a journey, he would meet the children.

Ibn Abi Mulaika says that it was near that both the best individuals, that is, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Umar, would remain saddened. The incident occurred when the delegation of Banu Tamim appeared in the court of the Prophet. One of the two elders suggested appointing Aqra’ bin Habis as their leader, and the other suggested someone else. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr said to Sayyiduna Umar,“You only want to oppose me.”Sayyiduna Umar replied,“I have no intention of opposing you.”In the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him), their voices became raised. Upon this, the verse was revealed:“O you who believe! Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet (peace be upon him).”After this verse, whenever Sayyiduna Umar spoke to the Prophet (peace be upon him), he would speak so softly that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would have to ask him again.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais bin Abi Ghazrah that in the blessed era of the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), we traders were previously called brokers (samasirah). One day, the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) came to us and said: "O group of traders," the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) addressed us with a better name than before. In trade, oaths and false statements also occur, therefore, mix charity and alms with it.
