Salim Al-Barrad (who is a trustworthy narrator) says that once Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Badri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to us,“Shall I not show you how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray?”Saying this, he pronounced the takbir, placed both his palms on his knees in ruku’, kept the joints of his fingers open, and kept his hands away from his stomach, until every limb was settled in its place. Then, after saying «سمع الله لمن حمده» , he stood up straight until every limb was settled in its place. Then, pronouncing the takbir, he performed sajdah and kept his hands away from his stomach until every limb was settled in its place. Then, raising his head, he sat up straight until every limb was settled in its place. Then, he performed the second sajdah, and he prayed all four rak’ahs in this manner, and then said,“The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray like this.”
