Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“There are three things upon which I swear: Wealth does not decrease by giving charity, so give charity. And when a servant forgives the oppression and excess of someone, Allah increases his honor, so forgive others and Allah will increase your honor. And whoever opens the door of begging upon himself, Allah opens the door of poverty and need upon him. Listen! There is goodness in refraining from begging.”It has been said: This hadith is rare among the narrations of Abu Salamah from his father.
