Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A vow does not bring to the son of Adam anything which I have not already written in his destiny; rather, through a vow, he only receives that which I have already decreed for him. Through a vow, I extract from the miser; because of making a vow, he gives Me something which he would not have given before.
