٢٢٨٣١ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن إسماعيل بن (سميع) (١) عن ماهان قال: (مر) (٢) ابن مسعود على رجل يزن دويرة قد ارجح فقال: (اقم) (٣) لسان الميزان، فإذا استقام فزده من مالك ما شئت (٤).

(١) سقط من: [أ، ح، ط، هـ].
(٢) في [جـ]: (مرد)، وفي [ط]: (أمر).
(٣) في [أ، ح، هـ]: (أقسم).
(٤) حسن؛ إسماعيل بن سميع صدوق.
Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a man who was weighing filings. The man asked him (may Allah be pleased with him): "Should I tilt the scale when weighing?" Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud replied: "Make the tongue of the scale even; when it becomes even, then add whatever you wish according to your desire."
