On Eating from the Utensils of Disbelievers

٢٥٩٧٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن حجاج عن مكحول عن (ابي) (١) إدريس عن ابي ثعلبة الخشني قال: قلت يا رسول الله إنا نغزو (٢) العدو فنحتاج إلى آنيتهم، قال: (فاستغنوا) (٣) عنها ما استطعتم، فإن لم تجدوا غيرها فاغسلوها فكلوا فيها واشربوا (٤).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) سقط من: [ز].
(٢) في [ز]: زيادة (أرض).
(٣) في [أ، ح، جـ، ز]: (استغنوا).
(٤) منقطع حكمًا؛ حجاج مدلس، والخبر ورد من طريق غيره، أخرجه البخاري (٥٤٨٨)، ومسلم (١٩٣٠).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tha’labah Khushani. He says: I submitted, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We fight in the land of the enemy and we need their utensils. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As much as possible, avoid using those utensils, and if you do not find any other utensils besides those, then wash them and eat and drink from them."
